Economical Links: “You Tell Me” Edition

I’m so far behind on my pen-related reading that I don’t have anything to link to today. Instead, I’m flipping the script: What’s got you the most excited right now? Pen-related or no.

I’ll go first: I’m slightly obsessed with a game I picked up on a whim the other day. It’s called Dropmix, and it is awesome. I wouldn’t (and didn’t) pay MSRP, but if you find it on sale for around $55 it’s worth trying for the chance to make some sick mashups.

I’m also looking forward to my annual Spring tradition of riding a motorbike to the coast just so I can eat a delicious crab at my favorite junky-looking crab shack.

On the pen front, I’m excited about inking up my Caran D’ache 849 and writing a proper review of it.

Your turn.

I’m excited about the sheer number of birds in our yard, because I am a lazy birder.

I bit the bullet a couple months ago and bought an olive traveler’s notebook. Its odd shade warms the cockles of my odd heart.

I survived my first Northern New England winter without resorting to cannibalism or spousicide. Go me!

Is it the melodrama or the morass of first world problems?

I’ve missed you too. I’m glad you’re back!!

Crab shack! I can’t compete with that. Pen-wise I have been enjoying a new Montegrappa Fortuna all week, whilst simultaneously awaiting the arrival of a Lamy Dialog 3. (Indulgent, I know). 😊

Hah. Focusing on old Parkers a bit. A 180 which looks totally rad and a Classic on the way…

I was excited about the arrival of spring… but this excitement was buried under the 30cm of snow and ice rain that fell at the weekend 😦 .

I am now excited about a leather pen case which is expected today… if only UPS can negotiate the 750m bobsled run, which we laughably call our lane and driveway. The last 50m or so, is a 1:4 slope, leading down to our log-shed and the lake, so I’m hoping they have snow tires, good brakes, and waterproof packaging.

I’m currently obsessing about social justice issues, with reference to school curricula for early teens; and occasionally getting pretty angry.

But, I am unspeakably glad about the return of The Economical Penster, and that she and loved ones are in excellent health!
